WHY CHOOSE SCIENCE?
Teaching science is challenging, exciting, rewarding and fun. As a secondary science teacher, you will help young people to understand major scientific ideas and the nature of evidence as well as recognise the impact of science on industry, business, medicine and other ways of improving quality of life. We never stop learning and to encourage young people to observe, question and experiment is highly rewarding and motivational. We are looking for dynamic applicants for our science PGCE course with strong subject knowledge, keen to promote and provoke positive scientific thinking in their classrooms, and to engage pupils through inspirational teaching.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN YOUR
The science programme covers important elements of the Science National curriculum focusing on key concepts such as energy, particles, cells and ways of addressing misconceptions in science. The programme is flexible and can be adapted to meet individual needs. It is practical based and will cover health and safety requirements.
