Teaching London SCITT and the LDBS partnership have been training outstanding teachers for over 20 years. Our graduate training leads to Qualified Teacher Status with a PGCE. We also run accredited courses for teaching assistants.

What we do

Our blend of individualised training, mentoring, coaching and classroom teaching is targeted to ensure you can make a difference to pupils’ learning from day one and hit the ground running as an NQT the following September!


Where we train

Our teacher training is school based in innovative and transforming primary and secondary schools in London and the South East. Centre-based training takes place at our ITT Teaching Training Centre in the heart of London.

Teaching London SCITT School Direct teacher training with PGCE London

School Direct SCITT
PGCE Route

We offer both primary and secondary, salaried and unsalaried School Direct PGCE routes.  Apply directly via UCAS to a Lead School of your choice in the Teaching London SCITT Partnership. You will be at this school, or another in their partnership, for most of the year but will still have the second placement at another school that all our trainees benefit from. Train in PGCE London schools.

Teaching London SCITT Early Years teacher training with PGCE London

Core PGCE: Early Years and General Primary

You will spend the majority of your time teaching in school and training on the job but as with all our PGCE London courses, you will have at least 30 days of centre-based training. We will arrange for you to undertake three separate school experiences, going to your first placement school in the Autumn term, a second in the Spring term and returning to the first school for your final Summer term placement.

SCITT Teacher Training at Teaching London for PGCE London

Asessment Only

Completed in 12 weeks or less, the Assessment Only route is specifically designed to be straightforward and supportive to enable busy teachers to achieve QTS without further training. Apply direct to Teaching London if you are an unqualified teacher with two years’ experience in Early Years, Primary, Secondary or FE.
